Field Ladder

Lets troops and carters climb a one-level step in the ground, up or down. They use ladders on their own, picking the one that leaves them closest to where they’re going. Only troops can build it.

Troops and carts don’t need roads, so ladders are how they get around the map away from your paths. Only your side’s troops and carters climb your ladders, and your allies’.

Machines can’t climb a ladder: they need a Field Ramp. Getting over a wall takes a Siege Tower.
